We had just moved to Singapore at this point and we had no idea what to expect from New Year’s Eve here. I wanted to create a virtual tour so I knew I had to secure my tripod somewhere early. Everyone said to get to the Esplanade area around 6 which was incredibly early. There was an army of photographers with tripods who had the same idea. We brought some snacks and dug in. Slowly more and more people began to arrive. Hundreds […]
Created a small virtual tour for fun at Smith Street Taps in Singapore last night. Singapore is notorious for expensive beers and a lack of beer variety. I have absolutely no complaints about Tiger which is the main beer you find in Singapore but variety is the spice of life; especially when it comes to beer. I can’t remember where I saw it first but Smith Street Taps became a place I needed to go. The first thing that’s a bit strange is that it’s […]
I was commissioned by The Chevrons Country Club in Singapore to create a 360 Virtual Tour for their Sunflower Ballroom. The Virtual Tour features The Chevrons logo digitally superimposed on the projection screens and the camera digitally removed from the mirror. The Chevrons Ballroom in this configuration has 3 tables which seat 10 each with a total capacity of 60 people. There are 3 projector screens for presentations and video playback. The 360 Virtual Tour was created by Christopher O’Grady Photography in Singapore […]
Spent a few days in Penang and while we were in Georgetown we came across these two metal foundry workshops. I was rather timid to walk up and ask these guys if they wouldn’t mind if I took a photo. They had no idea I was going to create a virtual tour / 360 degree image. I asked and they hand gestured that it would be no problem! So I stepped away and set up my tripod and panorama kit. When I started […]
I was in Bali shooting Virtual Tours for the Villa Bugis Villa Group and one of the owners mentioned that the beach is very close to their villa but they have no way of showing how beautiful the walk is to get to Seminyak Beach. I suggested that I could create a virtual tour of this beach walk to show their potential clients exactly how it is. So I set off to document this walk using 360 photographs in a virtual tour for them.
360 Virtual Tour created for Villa Olive in Seminyak, Bali which is part of the Villa Bugis Villa Group. Villa Olive is a short walk to Seminyak beach and close to shopping, restaurants and spas. The virtual tour is interactive and features a customised interface. http://villabugis.com/our-villas/villa-olive/
Virtual Tour created for Villa Ke Bali in Seminyak, Bali. The villa is expansive and it has a wonderful master bedroom with a private kitchen area. The master bedroom can almost be used as a standalone 1 bedroom villa within the complex. Also look at the 360 degree photograph in the tour that was shot over the table.
Virtual Tour created for Villa Alore in Seminyak Bali for the Villa Bugis Villa Group. This villa is actually two separate villas which are combined. The virtual tour shows this in a way the photography cannot. It has 6 bedrooms in the two mirrored villas. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and close to restaurants and shopping.
360 virtual tour I created in Singapore of Leong San See Temple. This temple is about a 5 minute walk from my apartment and it’s not one that is suggested in any tourist guides. What’s great is that they don’t have any problems with photography in temples here. It’s best to use a tripod when I create virtual tours so it’s nice to have the freedom to use it. It’s best to go in the middle of the afternoon but you always find random people […]
I created this virtual tour when I went for a photowalk in Singapore with a photography group. I met an American who lives in Japan and we ended up going for a photo walk in Little India. He saw this little Motorcycle shop Called O-Skool and apparently he was a motorcycle enthusiast and was drawn in by the classic motorcycle inside. We ended up chatting with Yee, the owner for around 30 minutes. The owner of the shop said he had a fall and hurt […]
