Located at the western end of town on the main Ubud road, 500m apart from its competitor Cap Togog , is this large textile factory. Connoisseurs of handwoven fabrics will be fit to be tied (dyed?). This place has a showroom where you can buy material by the metre, or have it tailored. You can at times see weavers at work and observe how the thread is dyed before being woven to produce the vibrantly patterned weft ikat, which is called endek in Bali. Note that the industry is struggling from competition with machine-made Javanese fabric, so your arrival will be welcomed.
